They will soar as with eagles' wings

They that hope in the LORD will renew their strength, they will soar as with eagles' wings;
They will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint.
Isaiah 40:31

We went to visit a local zoo today because the weather was simply too nice to waste!  I didn't have a specific verse chosen for the week, until I saw one of the bald eagles spread his wings and swoop towards the other's perch.  Look at what the Lord put in front of my camera lens!  Beautiful and majestic creatures that reminded me of His promise.

As I was putting this together, I noticed the date.  Exactly a year ago, our beloved school, Notre Dame, was ordered closed.  From hard work, determination, and prayer, Edgarton Christian Academy arose.  Our mascot is the eagle, and our motto is this verse, so I'm also reminded that with God and each other, anything is possible.

  1. I think of that verse every time I'm fortunate enough to see an eagle. You got a couple of wonderful pictures! And how like God to provide the reminder of how he was at work even through the school closing.

  2. Renewed strength, soaring like eagles, walking not faint- all from hope in our Lord. Thanks for sharing those promises.
