Sunday Sharing Pinterest Party - Week 8

This week was chuck-full!  Jude and I started Sunday at an event for the Kids with Food Allergies Foundation,  a group I have long volunteered for.  We had such a good time that we want to keep it going and are co-hosting a giveaway (with our friends at Schooled by the Professor)!

On Monday, Luke started a new review - a class on essay writing.  He wrote his first homework essay and I was so impressed that I posted it as part of his series.

I'm also working hard to keep my commitment to myself.  This week, I learned to accept that I don't have to be perfect.

sometimes better than nothing is good enough

And finally, after a year of tinkering, I finally created a recipe for gluten free scrapple that Neal said "Don't change anything! It's perfect!"  Yay!!!!

I also got lots of notices that new pins were posted!  Thank you everyone for sharing.  What a variety of links!  They've all been added to my Sunday Sharing Pinterest Party Board.

It was so hard to pick favorites, but I finally did.  If you were featured, help yourself to my new "I was featured!" button.

I was featured at Adventures with Jude

The weather is FINALLY starting to turn.  We had two 90* days this week, but by tonight I had to cover up the strawberries (they're Everbearers and still going strong!) because the low is supposed to be in the 40s.  Even babysitting them, I'll take it!  Which means I'm so ready for these

from Ben and Me.

These Magazine Page Flowers from  is a great way to re-use old magazine - especially if your kiddos are a little older and beyond the "cut out the pictures" phase!  This pin is from Craft Cravings.

One thing I love about travel is getting to eat new foods.  Since the furthest I'm traveling these days is the next state over for therapy appointments, I think I'll pretend to go on a trip to South America with this pin from Homeschool Coffee Break.

EmpeƱadas and coffee sound good to me!

People ask what kind of homeschoolers we are.  I say we're traditionally classic unschooled Charlotte Mason Montessori people.  And then I wonder where the ADHD diagnoses come from...ha!  Seriously, though, I loved these ideas from Montessori on a Budget for younger folk.  I can see even my "ancient" three-year-old loving them.

Finally, I love the little mini hole punchers, but never seemed to be able to justify buying them.  "They're so CUTE!!" just isn't a frugal reason.

Ah, but now that Lalymom has given me some ideas for using them, next time I visit the craft store I may just have to break down and get a couple.

I can't wait to see what everybody shares this week!
